Spam King Crashes

PHILADELPHIA -- The Internet's premier junk e-mailer has been kicked out of Cyberspace, at least temporarily.

Sanford Wallace, the self-anointed "Spam King," had his high-speed Internet access account cancelled last week by Apex Global Internet Services Inc. in Michigan, the company said Wednesday.

That means Wallace's Philadelphia-based Cyber Promotions Inc. can no longer spew out the tens of millions of junk e-mail messages it usually distributes to unwitting recipients in a given day, a practice known as "spamming."
