LONDON -- After guiding Manchester United to its fourth league title in five years, it was no surprise Monday when Alex Ferguson was named the Premier League's Manager of the Year.

The 55-year-old Scot, who also won the award in 1994, has helped the club collect 10 trophies in his 11 years at Old Trafford.

Under Ferguson United has also won the F.A. Cup three times (in 1990, '94 and '96), the European Cup Winners Cup in '91, the domestic League Cup in '92 and the European Super Cup in '91.
