Hacker Gets Cards

SAN FRANCISCO (x) -- A clever hacker slipped into a major Internet provider and gathered 100,000 credit card numbers, the FBI said.

Carlos Felipe Salgado Jr., 36, allegedly inserted a program that gathered the credit information from companies selling products over the Internet and tried to sell the data to an undercover agent for $260,000, said FBI spokesman George Grotz. He faces a maximum 15 years in prison and $500,000 in fines if convicted.
