Massacre Suspects Held

MOSCOW -- Moscow police Tuesday arrested eight Vietnamese illegal immigrants suspected of involvement in a gangland massacre carried out in Germany last year, Itar-Tass reported.

Police officials told Itar-Tass that an international arrest warrant had been issued against one of the Vietnamese, Phan Vam Tien and that he would be handed over to the German authorities for the gangland murder of seven Vietnamese in Berlin last May.

Police were also questioning the others in connection with the killings.

The seven victims were shot and killed by four other Vietnamese, who had first tied them up. Two others were wounded in the incident and fled the scene.
