Movie Called a Myth

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- Facts gave way to entertainment in the animated hit "Anastasia,'' and a professor of Russian history fears inaccuracies will stay with young moviegoers into adulthood.

Susan Corbesero of the University of Pittsburgh said the animation in the movie is wonderful but she wouldn't take her children to see it.

"It's almost totally inaccurate as history. They got the date of the Revolution wrong, Anna's age when it occurred and, most importantly, the relationship between Rasputin and the Romanovs,'' she said.

In the movie from 20th Century Fox, Rasputin is an evil sorcerer who puts a curse on the Romanov family and runs them out of town.
