Gazprom Deal Delayed

MOSCOW -- The planned signing of a trustee management agreement on 35 percent of Gazprom shares between First Deputy Prime Minister Boris Nemtsov and Gazprom Chief Executive Rem Vyakhirev did not take place Thursday due to Vyakhirev's delayed return from Vietnam, an official said.

Vyakhirev accompanied Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin on his official visit to Vietnam this wee.

A new date for signing the agreement will be announced later, said Andrei Pershin, Nemtsov's press secretary.

The agreement will name Rem Vyakhirev as the trustee manager for 35 percent of Gazprom shares out of the 40 percent of shares held by the state.
