14 Killed in Bus Crash

ANKARA, Turkey -- Eight German and two Dutch tourists were among 14 people killed in a high-speed bus collision in western Turkey, local officials said Wednesday.

Forty-two people, including seven Germans, were also injured when two buses crashed head-on near the town of Denizli on Tuesday night. A witness described the scene of the crash as like a vision of hell.

A police spokesman said the driver, who passed a breath test for alcohol, appeared to have been at fault because he had entered a lane for overtaking where the minibus had right of way.
