Privatization Revenues

WARSAW, Poland -- Poland's draft budget for 1998 assumes that revenues from privatization will reach 6 billion zlotys ($1.8 billion), Finance Minister Marek Belka told the business daily Rzeczpospolita.

The revenue target for 1997 was set in the budget at 4.5 billion zlotys, but Belka said it was likely to be exceeded, possibly reaching about 6 billion zlotys as well.

Belka said that among firms to be privatized next year were Pekao SA group and Bank Zachodni.
