Indonesian Black Box

JAKARTA, Indonesia -- Indonesian rescue workers on Tuesday found the two black box recorders of a Garuda Indonesia Airbus which crashed into a ravine more than three weeks ago killing all 234 people on board, officials and a television network said.

The ANTV television network reported that rescuers found the cockpit voice recorder and the flight data recorder of the A300-B4 which smashed into a hillside plantation near Medan, the capital of North Sumatra, on Sept. 26 as it prepared to land in poor visibility.

One official earlier said the voice recorder had been found buried in mud below the plane's wreckage and was being recovered.
