Miners Receive Pay

The Primorsky region's coal company was able to start paying its miners after receiving about 11 billion rubles ($2 million) from state coal company Rosugol, said Anatoly Vasyanovich, head of the regional company.
This was not enough, however, to cover overdue back wages of 37 billion rubles, Vasyanovich told Itar-Tass.
Miners throughout Russia went on strike in December to demand wages that had not been paid in months.
