Currency Rule Eased

MOSCOW () -- The Russian Central Bank announced Thursday it had eased the rules for Russians wanting to transfer foreign currency in cash across the borders for private transactions, Interfax reported.

Vladimir Smirnov, head of the Central Bank's foreign currency regulations department, said people are no longer required to have a foreign currency bank account or get special permission to transfer currency over the border.
