New Arsenal Chief

LONDON () -- Frenchman Arsene Wenger was confirmed as Arsenal's new manager Monday, while former Arsenal caretaker Stewart Houston was appointed boss at Queens Park Rangers.

Wenger was released from his contract by the Japanese club Grampus Eight, and will take charge at Arsenal on Sept. 30.

"It is my dream to manage a team in a top-level European soccer league," the former Monaco coach told a news conference in Tokyo. "If I don't accept the offer right now, I will miss the chance."
