Bailey Outsprinted

TOKYO () -- Fredericks, of Namibia, edged past Olympic champion Donovan Bailey in the second half of the Toto Super International race, gaining a bit of revenge for his second-place finish to the Canadian at the Atlanta Olympics.

Jamaican veteran Marlene Ottey also gained a measure of revenge against American nemesis Gail Devers in the women's 100, reversing their Olympic finish and winning in 10.94.

Devers was second in 11.14 and Chandra Sturrup of the Bahamas third in 11.33.
