MOSCOW () -- Former Finance Minister Vladimir Panskov has been named first deputy economics minister under a new governmental decree signed by Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin.

Panskov was left out of the new cabinet announced earlier this month and replaced by presidential economics adviser Alexander Livshits.

Panskov will be one of eleven deputies, including four first deputies, under Economics Minister Yevgeny Yasin, according to the Russian government bulletin.
