Emmitt Scares Dallas

DALLAS () -- Dallas Cowboys All-Pro running back Emmitt Smith will miss two to four weeks because of a sprained left knee, making him questionable for the season opener.

Smith, who signed an eight-year, $42.5 million contract Monday, underwent an MRI Sunday that showed a sprained medial collateral ligament in the knee.

The four-time NFL rushing champion could miss a Monday night game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 2 as the Cowboys open defense of their Super Bowl title.
