Browser Battle Heats

SAN FRANCISCO () -- Netscape Communications Corp. on Monday unveiled its newest Internet browser, which will automatically search out content from the Internet based on the user's specified interests and deliver it to their personal computers.

Just a week after rival Microsoft Corp.'s Internet Explorer 3.0 browser became available, Netscape is offering its Navigator 3.O with many similar features, including technology to carry 3-dimensional video e-mail. Microsoft's Internet Explorer has 3 percent to 10 percent market share by various estimates. Netscape Navigator holds an 80 percent market share.
