Aussies to Travel

BRISBANE, Australia () -- Australia's cricketers confirmed Friday they will go to Sri Lanka next week despite lingering worries about safety.

The Australian Cricket Board, or ACB, said it was satisfied with security arrangements in Sri Lanka, which has been fighting a war with separatist Tamil guerrillas for the past 13 years.

But the Australian side will be without leg-spinner Shane Warne, who withdrew from the 13-man squad earlier Friday after failing to recover from finger surgery.

Australia refused to play in Sri Lanka in the preliminary rounds of this year's World Cup because of fears for the players' security, prompting an angry reaction in Colombo.
