The 76ers, who finished with the second-worst record in the league at 18-64, won Sunday's NBA draft lottery at Secaucus, New Jersey and own the first pick in the June 26 draft. The expansion Toronto Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies have the second and third picks.
The Ottawa Senators won the National Hockey League's annual draft drawing and will pick first overall at the 1996 Entry Draft in St. Louis on June 22.
The Senators have selected first on two other occasions: In 1993, Ottawa selected center Alexandre Daigle and, last year, the Senators' overall first selection was defenseman Bryan Berard.
