Lithuanian Talks NATO

VILNIUS, Lithuania () -- Lithuanian Defense Minister Linas Linkevicius traveled to the United States on Tuesday for a five-day visit to discuss Lithuania's position on NATO expansion.

Linkevicius, an active advocate of Lithuanian membership in NATO, will discuss the issue with U.S. defense leaders and presidential advisers, Itar-Tass reported.

Linkevicius believes all former Soviet-bloc countries seeking NATO membership should be given the same admission requirements, the agency quoted him as saying.
