Dueling Hat Tricks

PITTSBURGH () -- Jaromir Jagr scored three times in 17 1/2 minutes and Mario Lemieux also had three goals as the Pittsburgh Penguins won a second-period shootout to eliminate the Rangers from the playoffs 7-3.

Saturday's victory sends the Penguins into the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since they won the Stanley Cup in 1992. They will have a week off before meeting either Philadelphia or Florida beginning Saturday or Sunday.

"You have to give credit to the two best players in the world right now," Rangers coach Colin Campbell said. "They were too much for us in every area."
