Alleged Spies' Hearing

OTTAWA () -- A man and woman accused of being spies for Russia will face a public deportation hearing, Canada's Federal Court has announced.

The Federal Court issued the order Wednesday following a closed court session where the government presented evidence against Laurie and Ian Lambert, now in custody in Toronto.

A date for the hearing, to be held in Toronto, was not set. The Lamberts are being held on a security certificate issued under the Immigration Act, which accuses them of espionage.
