Pipeline Deal Signing

ALMATY, Kazakhstan -- Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said Tuesday that Russia, Kazakhstan, Oman and eight international energy companies would seal a deal Friday in Almaty to build a $1 billion Caspian Sea oil pipeline.

Nazarbayev told a news conference that the agreement would be signed when Russian President Boris Yeltsin visits the Kazakh capital.

"All questions are resolved. All documents are ready for signature," Nazarbayev said.
