Communism on Trial?

MOSCOW () -- Nobel Prize winner Alexander Solzhenitsyn and other former Soviet dissidents seek to organize an international trial against "world communism" and the ex-Soviet Communist Party, an activist said.

Publisher Alexander Glezer told Interfax on Monday such a trial could be held in Moscow or abroad, depending on "political reasons."

Glezer, a prominent art collector and former emigr?, mentioned Vladimir Bukovsky of Britain, philosopher Andre Glucksmann of France, poet Yury Kublanovsky of Russia, journalist and author Eduard Kuznetsov of Israel and sculptor Ernst Neizvestny of the United States as among emigrants, Russian dissidents and anti-communists who had agreed to form a commission that would look into the possibility of holding such a trial.
