Swedish School Relocates

The Swedish School in Moscow, previously located in an annex of the Anglo-American School, reopened in a new location Tuesday.

The school, located down the street from the Swedish Embassy at Ulitsa Olofa Palme 5, has 40 students between the ages of 6 and 15. Max Svensson, headmaster, said eventually there would be between 75 and 80 children in the school.

Svensson said the Swedish School in Moscow has existed since the 1970s but enrollment has increased in the last few years with the growth of the expatriate community.

"We welcome children from all parts of the world. The one and only demand we have is that they understand and speak Swedish," he said.
