Sprinters Suspended

LONDON () - Top Nigerian sprinters Mary Onyali and twins Osmond and Davidson Ezinwa have all tested positively for ephedrine and been suspended from competition for three months, according to IAAF officials.


Speaking to the BBC World Service's Network Africa program from Lagos, Abdul Karim Amu, chairman of the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, confirmed the results of the test.


The Ezinwa brothers tested positive in Moscow on Feb. 14 after Osmond had finished first and Davidson second in a 60 meters race. Onyali was tested positive on Feb. 4 in Stuttgart.
