Irish Officials Bow Out

DUBLIN () -- Four of Ireland's five leading soccer officials resigned in a dispute over World Cup ticket sales.

Louis Kilcoyne, president of the Football Association of Ireland, is the only top official still in office following Monday's departures of senior vice-president Pat Quigley, vice-presidents Des Casey and Michael Hyland and honorary treasurer Joe Delaney.

They quit following a three-hour meeting between the FAI officers and representatives of the 22 Irish national league clubs.

The resignations follow weeks of allegations of mismanagement of tickets for the World Cup finals in the United States in 1994.
