IndyCar Spat Worsens

INDIANAPOLIS () -- The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has canceled a licensing agreement that allowed Championship Auto Racing Teams to use the name "IndyCar" for its race series.

It's the latest volley in the feud between CART and the new Indy Racing League, which was formed by Indianapolis Motor Speedway president Tony George.

Bill Donaldson, a Speedway vice president, said CART had made negative comments about the speedway, the Indy 500 and George, invalidating the agreement.
