EU to Lodge Complain

BRUSSELS () -- European Foreign Affairs Commissioner Hans van den Broek heads to Moscow on Sunday to complain about Russian behavior over issues ranging from Chechnya to trade.

During his two-day visit, which immediately precedes that of NATO Secretary General Javier Solana, Van den Broek will meet Foreign Minister Yevgeny Primakov, First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Kadannikov and Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Davydov.

High on the agenda will be EU grievances over continued fighting in Chechnya and the announcements over the past few weeks of unilateral measures to restrict imports from the Union of products from textiles to vodka.
