Ukrainian Sought

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica () -- Nazi hunters from the Simon Wiesenthal Center have set their sights on a former Ukrainian policeman accused of war crimes who has lived undisturbed in a comfortable house in Costa Rica since 1985.

Following a three-day visit to Costa Rica, Efraim Zuroff, director of the Wiesenthal Center's Israeli office, said he plans to launch a campaign to pressure the Costa Rican government to expel Bohdan Koziy.

Koziy, 73, is accused of persecuting Ukrainian Jews and shooting dead a 4-year-old Jewish girl at point-blank range in the Ukrainian town of Lysiec during World War II.
