Rice Paces NFC Win

COMBINED REPORTS

HONOLULU -- Quarterback Jim Harbaugh of Indianapolis overthrew his receiver in the end zone in the closing seconds, and the NFC held off the AFC for a 20-13 victory in the National Football League Pro Bowl.

Ken Harvey of Washington returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown and Morten Andersen of Atlanta kicked a 24-yard field goal after another interception to lead the NFC on Sunday.

Jerry Rice of San Francisco caught six passes for 82 yards, including one touchdown, and was voted the game's most valuable player.

Meanwhile, franchise movement continues in the offseason.

Ken Behring, owner of the Seattle Seahawks, was to meet Monday with Anaheim city officials, who expect him to consummate a deal for a temporary training site. A temporary restraining order bars a permanent transfer.

But Los Angeles' football task force and the NFL are continuing to go about their business as if Behring never left Seattle.

"Our position has been that the NFL reserved the Los Angeles area for itself, which includes Anaheim," said Fred Rosen, chairman of the task force. "We have allied ourselves with the NFL and we are playing by the rules. We're not sure the Seahawks have the right to move here or to Anaheim ... One would hope Behring would be a good owner, but one must also look at history."

Since Behring assumed ownership in 1988, the team made one playoff appearance (1988). The Seahawks are 54-74 in that time. ()
