Poland's New Cabinet

WARSAW () -- Poland's President Aleksander Kwasniewski on Wednesday appointed a reshuffled left-wing coalition government headed by Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz.

The appointment ends two weeks of tough talks between Cimoszewicz's dominant Democratic Left Alliance of ex-communists and the Polish Peasants Party following the resignation of Prime Minister Jozef Oleksy over allegations he had spied for Moscow.

The new cabinet includes several ministers from the previous one including privatization chief Wieslaw Kaczmarek, whose re-appointment had been contested by the Peasants.
