Devils 3, Canucks 2 (OT). In Vancouver, British Columbia, Steve Thomas deflected in a pass from Bobby Holik at 3:46 of overtime to give the New Jersey Devils a 3-2 decision over the Vancouver Canucks.

Thomas scored his 15th goal of the season by going to the net in traffic to give the Devils their first win this year when trailing after two periods. New Jersey had been 0-14-1.
