Body Retrieval Goes On

n COLOMBO () -- Sri Lankan firefighters and police Friday recovered four decomposed bodies, including that of a child, from buildings wrecked by a huge rebel suicide bomb blast in the heart of Colombo which killed up to 80 people.

"We're trying to pump water out of the central bank's basement for search teams to go in," Fire Department Chief Jayampathy Kannangara said. "There could be more bodies trapped in the underground vault."

Major T.M.P. Tennakoon of the army engineering unit said rescuers would take two more days to clear the rubble.
