Bill Theft Revealed

WASHINGTON () -- Three workers at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing last year managed to steal $60,000 worth of newly printed $50 bills from a large vault at the tightly guarded plant, thefts that were not discovered until three months later, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.

One of the workers, Rayford Young Jr., 25, of Largo, Maryland, surrendered to authorities Tuesday and pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to steal the money in a plea bargain. The other two workers were not identified, although a Secret Service spokesman said their arrests are imminent.
