Belarussian Judges Quit

MINSK, Belarus () -- Three more judges in Belarus' Constitutional Court resigned Thursday to protest President Alexander Lukashenko's authoritarian policies, Belarus Radio reported.

The resignations brought to seven the number of judges who have left the 11-member court since Lukashenko pushed through a controversial referendum on expanding his powers.

The head of the court, Valery Tikhinya, resigned Wednesday along with two judges; another judge resigned earlier this month.
