Unattractive Russia

The U.S. non-governmental Heritage Fund has conducted a study in which it tried to determine developing countries' levels of attractiveness for foreign investments. Talk was not about such recognized leaders, as Hong Kong, China, Singapore or Taiwan. Countries from the "second echelon" of contenders to world-investment resources were the subject of study. Russia did not appear on this list.

Twenty-four countries were a part of this list, which, from the point of view of researchers, are moving ahead quickly enough toward a condition of economic freedom, necessary for successful conduct of any business. Such countries were: Argentina, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Botswana, El Salvador, Fiji.
