Mother Teresa Stable

CALCUTTA () -- Mother Teresa's condition was stable Monday after an uneasy night of chest pains and lung congestion, but doctors treating the revered nun said she might have to undergo a surgical procedure.

"Mother Teresa had mild chest pain early this morning," a medical bulletin issued by a panel of doctors treating the 86-year-old Roman Catholic nun said. "Otherwise her condition remains unchanged."

Doctors at the Woodlands Nursing Home in Calcutta, where Mother Teresa is being treated, said her condition stabilized after her third heart failure in four days occurred Sunday, but said she is not out of danger.
