Moscow Bank Branch

MOSCOW () -- BashCreditBank, one of Russia's largest regional banks, has opened its Moscow branch, the bank's director, Azat Kurmanayev, told a news conference Thursday.

Kurmanayev said the opening of the Moscow branch is a sign that the bank, founded as a regional investment and development bank, is "gaining financial momentum."

BashCreditBank, wholly owned by the government of the republic of Bashkortostan in the Volga region, was set up in 1993 and is today among the top 10 Russian banks in terms of shareholders' capital, Kurmanayev said.
