Lithuanian Questioned

VILNIUS, Lithuania () -- A suspected Nazi collaborator who was stripped of U.S. citizenship last spring has been questioned for a fourth time by a Lithuanian prosecutor but has not been charged.

Aleksandras Lileikis, who is 89 and in poor health, was interrogated Monday as a witness rather than a war-crimes suspect, the Baltic News Service reported Tuesday, citing Gintautas Starkus of the prosecutor general's special investigation department.

Lileikis could face charges of crimes against humanity. A U.S. federal judge said he allegedly ordered the deaths of "tens of thousands" of Jews when he was head of a secret police force in Vilnius during the Nazi occupation.
