Jones Vies for Title

TAMPA, Florida () -- Roy Jones Jr., generally regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, will meet former champion Mike McCallum for the soon-to-be declared vacant WBC light heavyweight title on Nov. 22.

Jones, who has a sparkling 33-0 record with 29 knockouts, has made five successful defenses of his 76-kilogram super middleweight crown since beating then-champion James Toney two years ago. He will be stepping up to the 175-pound class against the 39-year-old McCallum (49-3-1, 36 KOs).
