Danes Curb Bikers

COPENHAGEN, Denmark () -- Four days after a grenade attack on the Hells Angels' headquarters killed two people and left the Danish capital shaken, a bill to ban biker clubhouses from residential neighborhoods went before Parliament on Thursday. The measure was expected to pass easily.

A 2 1/2-year feud between the Hells Angels and Bandidos gangs in the Nordic countries has alarmed and angered residents of the generally quiet and safe region. The Sunday attack, in which an anti-tank grenade was fired into the Hells Angels' compound where about 150 people were attending a party, galvanized officials. The prime ministers of Sweden and Denmark met to discuss joint efforts against the bikers.
