Australia Crumbles

NEW DELHI, India () -- Australian batsmen crumbled to India's magic spin attack and were all out for 182 on the first day of the one-off cricket Test on Thursday.

At close, India were on 57 having lost the wicket of opener Vikram Rathore.

Despite making a solid start with a 47-run stand by openers Michael Slater and Taylor, Australia quickly collapsed. The Indians exploited the spin-friendly pitch and the Australians were left dizzy -- losing six middle-order wickets for 66 runs. At lunch the Australians were 81 for 2. By tea, Australia were 160 for seven wickets with Ian Healy on 15 and Paul Reiffel yet to score. The remaining wickets soon fell after tea.
