Airport Security Blasted

MOSCOW () -- The international airport in Moscow presents a stern facade, but security is actually so poor that virtually anyone can stroll out on its runways, a newspaper reported Tuesday.

The weekly Novaya Gazeta said there are more than a dozen gaping holes in the 2.5 meter-high concrete fence around Sheremetyevo airport, which is about 10 kilometers north of the Russian capital.

A Novaya Gazeta correspondent saw only two guards and one patrol car, during a walk along the airport's fenced, 15 kilometer perimeter.
