Koreans Face Expulsion

LONDON () -- Russia plans to expel five North Koreans detained Jan. 16 at a nuclear submarine base, Itar-Tass reported Friday.

Seventeen North Koreans working in the Nakhodka free economic zone had been detained at the Pacific Fleet base in the Far East. The other 12 would be allowed to stay in Russia until their contracts expired, Itar-Tass said. The North Koreans said they were at the base collecting scrap metal.
