Bomb Suspect in N.Y.

NEW YORK () -- A man arrested in Jordan and alleged to have been in the van that carried the World Trade Center bomb in 1993 arrived in New York on Thursday for arraignment, law enforcement sources said.

They said the man, a Jordanian of Palestinian origin, would appear later Thursday before U.S. District Judge Kevin Duffy.

In Amman, Jordan's Justice Minister Hisham al-Tell named the suspect as Iyad Mahmoud Ismail Najem, 24, arrested in Jordan on July 31.

Duffy has sentenced four other Moslem men to more than 240 years in prison for the Feb. 26, 1993 blast that killed six people and injured 1,000.
