Marchuk to Sea Talks

BUCHAREST () -- Ukraine's Prime Minister Yevhen Marchuk will head the former Soviet republic's delegation to a summit on Black Sea cooperation in Bucharest next week, Ukraine's ambassador in Romania said Friday.

"Ukraine pays a great deal of attention to the meeting," said Olexandr Cealii. "As one of the big Black Sea states, we are interested in peace and quiet in this area."

Ukraine's nine-man delegation, which will include Foreign Minister Hennady Udovenko and senior economic ministers and central bank executives, will travel to Bucharest on June 30 for the meeting of the Black Sea Cooperation Council of regional powers.
