Resignation Threatened

WARSAW () -- Polish Finance Minister Grzegorz Kolodko on Thursday threatened to quit the left-wing coalition government, accusing it of promoting policies that could provoke a return of runaway inflation.

Kolodko told reporters before a crisis meeting with Prime Minister Jozef Oleksy and coalition leaders that a just-approved plan to reform the social security system was too costly and could create a huge budget gap next year.
