Bonds Bops 2-Decke

SAN FRANCISCO () -- Barry Bonds homered off the empty upper deck in right field to give the San Francisco Giants a 2-1 win over the Chicago Cubs and ruin a sparkling pitching performance by Kevin Foster.

Bonds's 412-foot home run, which bounced back onto the field, came in the seventh of Wednesday's game. It was just the second hit off Foster, who took a perfect game into the sixth, and ended a 19-inning scoreless streak by the Giants. The homer also ended a Giants' streak of 36 innings without an extra-base hit.
