Hendry Pockets 147

SHEFFIELD, England ) -- The snooker world is celebrating a rare achievement: a maximum break at the World Championship.

Defending champion Stephen Hendry cleared all 21 balls on the table Thursday in the unique order needed to produce a "perfect" break of 147 points. The break is only the third of its type in World Championship history.

The other two players to score a 147 at the World Championship are Cliff Thorburn in 1983 and White in 1992.
