Sony Court Case

MOSCOW () -- Outraged that foreign companies are allegedly breaking Russian law by taking advantage of local consumers, the International Confederation of Consumer Societies began court proceedings Monday against Sony's European division.

Under existing guarantees on all Sony products sold in Russia, customers may only return items after five attempts at having them repaired. Russian law, however, allows customers to return products as soon as they are found faulty.

Sony officials in Moscow could not be reached for comment.
